Gene Powers
President & CEO
The founder of the company, Gene Powers, innovated and evolved the
LetterClick concept over the last 4 years. With over 20 years of
software design and management experience, Gene was recently a key
executive at Alldata Corporation, an electronic information subscription
service company. During his 4½ year tenure there, he helped grow the
customer base 600% and managed a 60 person operations staff. His
contributions to improvement and development of the service delivered
and to operations were key to successful sale of the company for $62.5
MM. His business development activity led to negotiations for purchase
of the company.
Gene received two degrees from U.C. Berkeley, a Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science with honors, and a degree in Applied Mathematics. Gene
was elected as a Phi Beta Kappa scholar at Berkeley.
Reid Neubert
Chief Marketing Officer
Cofounder of the company, Reid was a Web marketing consultant since
1996. His company, Reid Neubert + Friends, helped companies large and
small with strategic marketing and branding, developing their World Wide
Web presence, and integrating the Internet into their businesses.
An honors graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Reid entered the hi-tech industry
in the early eighties as a marketing and design consultant to early PC
hardware and software companies. He was part of the early core team at
two venture-backed software startups, including his first in-house
position, which was with General Parametrics in Berkeley, CA. Reid was
the first product marketing manager at Autodesk, joining the company in
1986. His career accomplishments include highly successful company and
product rollouts, remarkable results in direct response advertising, and
the design of acclaimed Windows software programs.
Kim Barnes
Executive Vice President of Business Development
Kim Barnes joins LetterClick with nearly 20 years of senior sales,
marketing, and business development experience at some of the leading
Internet and technology media companies on both coasts. Prior to joining
Letterclick, Barnes was vice president of business development at Altus
Learning Systems.
Barnes has held a variety of executive posts at Internet businesses such
as Compare.net (acquired by Microsoft), Juno Online Services and
Four11.com/Rocketmail.com (acquired by Yahoo), as well as senior sales
positions at the three largest technology publishing companies CMP
Media, IDG Publishing and Ziff Davis Media. Barnes' career bagan at
Xerox Corproation. Kim lives in San Francisco.
